Not content with running several high-profile RISC OS websites, writing for Acorn User, programming shareware, doing support for ArgoNet during the day and the Ant Suite at night, and running the top crop circle research website, it appears Paul Vigay is now set to become a Hollywood movie star.
As announced on the Archive mailing list (and in my ear 'ole over the past few days), Disney are researching a new film about crop circles, set to star Mel Gibson. And who better to ask about these strange phenomena than Paul? His site (http://www.cropcircleresearch.com/) holds detailed information and photographs about crop circles going back to the 1950's. Set up as a scientific research tool Paul retains a healthy scepticism, but was the obvious choice to provide research material.
Okay, so Paul may not feature in the film itself, which looking at the picture above might be a good thing. But they will hopefully be filming some footage of RISC OS machines putting together the research, with a cunningly wrought backdrop stating what OS he's using. Even if it doesn't make it into the film itself, the documentary to accompany it should feature both our favourite OS and tech support guy, so remember to look for the DVD version in a couple of years time...

The moral of this is to *never* be around Richard Goodwin when he has a camera with him.... |

I have to say, that over the last week, Paul has been turning in to a bit of a luvvie. I'm sure everyone remembers his "close encounter" with Goldie Hawn last year.
I can assure everone that an Oscar is well out of the question. |
